About Our School
District
South Monterey County High School District services over 2000 students in
grades 9-12. King City is situated on Highway 101 in South
Monterey County in the heart of the Salinas Valley, King City
is approximately 145 miles south of San Francisco, 105 south
of San Jose, and 50 miles north of Paso Robles.
South Monterey County High School District has one singular focus, our
mission, our goal: Maximize student academic achievement in
a culture of caring. All of our resources, planning and
preparation, instructional activities, homework,
assessments, and curricular activities are designed to help
us attain this goal. At South Monterey County High School District we seek to provide our students with engaging and
meaningful instructional activities.
