Our Purpose
King City Public Schools is actually two separate districts that have combined management and other resources. They are the King City Joint Union High School District and the King City Union School District that serve over 4400 students in grades K-12.
King City is located in southern Monterey County and is situated in one of the richest and most productive agricultural regions in the world.
King City Public Schools has one singular focus, our mission, our goal: Maximize student academic achievement in a culture of caring. All of our resources, planning and preparation, instructional activities, homework, assessments, and curricular activities are designed to help us attain this goal. At King City Public Schools we seek to provide our students with engaging and meaningful instructional activities that will maximize achievement and retention of the California Content Standards.
